#Save the Bees art project by Louis Masai and Jim Vision

This summer I’ve been collecting photographs of bees both the painted variety and the real thing. #Save the Bees was a street art project created by artists Louis Masai and Jim Vision around Hackney. Their aim was to raise public awareness about the danger to our bee population from the use of highly toxic pesticides. Many of these bee paintings are still there, although the blue wall only lasted a couple of weeks.

London Fields’ wildflower meadow. This project was started by Hackney Council in 2013 and has been continued this summer. I bet the bees love it!
Vhils for the Phytology Project, Bethnal Green

Also this summer, Bethnal Green Nature Reserve commissioned artist Vhils to create this beautiful wall. His technique is to scratch images into plasterwork. Its on Middleton Street, Bethnal Green.
Bee-bee-bee beautiful works of busy buzzers artsy quirks all over the mainland!
A nice mix of Nature’s ways and artists praise for the humble bumblebees.
Thanks for sharing all of these! Have a great Sunday, Tanya! Cheerz, UT
