We want Spring! Enjoying rare sunshine in the V&A Madejski Garden

• On Wednesday the sun shone in Londontown!!  It was a red letter day after four plus months of grey skies, occasional snow and freezing cold weather.  We’ve had one or two sunny days since last December but they are precious because they are so rare.

  I was lucky enough to get out at lunch time and popped into the V&A Museum soley to enjoy some sun in their beautiful urban garden.  And look what I saw.  Many others with the same thought as me, desperate for sun and warmth.  Please can we have some more.  And soon.

  Its raining and grey again today but they say this weekend is going to be heatwave.  We can only hope.

  As a photographer this series surprised me.  I didn’t expect such interesting results with the much grumbled about camera phone.  They don’t look like we’re in Central London and they have a painterly quality which I love.  And look even better large.  So do view in gallery mode.
